KIRTLEY AND MKK WIN LONG TERM DEALS
MKK, the teamwear business run by ex England fast bowler James Kirtley, has won a three year extension to its contract with the high flying Sussex Sharks. The news follows the recent announcement that Middlesex County Cricket Club has also signed an extension with MKK further securing their kit supply until 2013.
James said:
“This is great news for Sussex, Middlesex and MKK. As a current player I know better than most that wearing great kit is an essential component of great performance. With my MKK hat on, it is part of our long term strategy to extend the reach of the brand into pro sport and across different sporting disciplines.”
MKK will soon enjoy the global exposure offered by the Twenty20 Champions League. Kirtley and his Sussex teammates won the domestic competition and put themselves in line for the multi million pound prize fund that awaits each team in India.
Chief Executive of Sussex County Cricket Club, Dave Brooks, said:
“The MKK label is becoming increasingly well known and respected due to the quality of the product and the companies determination to meet and exceed the expectations of its clients. It is clearly an advantage to have someone like James involved, who is better placed than most to appreciate the needs of the modern sportsman.”
MKK is also fast becoming the number one name in the supply of sports kit to independent schools.
James added:
“One of the key reasons professional and amateur teams and schools change suppliers is trust. We capitalise on that by never compromising on our promise to deliver quality kit on time. Many of the football, rugby and hockey clubs we now supply have been let down by other suppliers in the past. With seasons running into each other and fixture lists set in stone, getting your kit late or badly manufactured is disastrous.”
