International teamwear supplier MKK has announced that a leading city businessman is to become the new company chairman. Nik Askaroff is very well known across the south east for heading up business consultancy, EMC Ltd, and for holding senior roles with a number of leading companies in the region.

Nik has long been an admirer of the progress MKK is making under Sussex cricket star James Kirtley and business partner, Roger Myall, and didn’t hesitate when the Eastbourne based team discussed the opportunity.

Nik said:
“It is obviously a very exciting for me to take up the chairmanship with the business enjoying strong and steady growth. James and Roger have achieved a huge amount in a relatively short time and I’ve no doubt that the brand will continue to increase its market share.”

While MKK started life by supplying amateur and professional cricket teams, including the Sussex Sharks and Middlesex County Cricket Club, the label is now regularly seen on rugby fields, football pitches, athletic tracks and tennis courts.

James said:
“It is great having Nik on board. With so much going on, his experience and expertise is invaluable. Recently, we outsourced much of our supply chain and warehousing making us more efficient and allowing us to compete even more keenly with other suppliers on cost and levels of customer service.”
