2007 MKK SPORTS LAUNCHES TEAMWEAR FOR SCHOOLS

MKK Sports, the sports clothing manufacturer owned by Sussex and England cricketer James Kirtley and his business partners, has just launched a quality, competitive range of team clothing for schools and colleges.

The company believes that it has spotted a niche in the market to offer a bespoke clothing solution which can incorporate both colour and design to match schools corporate identities, as well as offering some of the most cutting edge fabrics in the sporting arena today. "MKK Sports has been set up to offer schools a superb service that achieves exact colour matches, bespoke design and quality products that we can guarantee to deliver for years to come," said Kirtley. "We have a very strong understanding of the market place and the particular requirements of schools and have worked hard to ensure that we are best placed in the market to provide both the products and service that schools require. Our bespoke stock holding option gives our customers the piece of mind that having received their initial stock order that they can then draw from our stock of their garments in small quantities and we can guarantee not to change a schools design until they are ready to do so."

The MKK Sports range initially encompasses key teamwear garments and technical cricket apparel and plans are underway to expand into other sports during early 2007. The technical fabrics used by MKK Sports ensure maximum comfort by wicking moisture away from the skin and allowing the garment to breathe thereby making it perfect other sports such as rugby, tennis, netball and hockey. MKK Sports is also able to ScotchguardT clothing which aids the fabrics in their battle against grass stains, a service not available from all manufacturers.

One of MKK Sports most recent clients is Eastbourne College, who chose the company to create their school tracksuit and cricket clothing. Martin Hughes, Deputy Bursar and Head of Finance said:

"MKK initially provided us with some design alternatives for our range of school sportswear which matched the specification that we had given them exactly. Their attention to detail and understanding of the importance of matching our 'corn flower blue' was great because it was very important to us to effectively translate our corporate identity into our school teamwear.

They were able to source technical fabrics for our consideration and then swiftly arranged samples of the chosen fabrics in each of the garments we required. They also provided the samples in different sizes. The quality of the samples were very impressive and matched the standards we required.

The customer care was always first class and no query was ever too much trouble. The sales staff were always easily accessible and responded promptly when required. They provided us with a delivery schedule and order confirmation and the resultant delivery arrived on time and matched our order perfectly.

We have subsequently re-ordered several times from them and would not hesitate to recommend them to other schools or colleges."

MKK's particular advantage is not only the bespoke design and colours, but their ability to embroider shirts with up to three logos at source and inclusive of the price. Nick Keeley, company director adds "Often, schools buy garments off-the-peg and then have the additional outlay of embroidery which can increase the overall cost beyond the original budget. Our embroidery policy ensures that schools have an upfront inclusive cost and that all garments arrive completed and ready to wear. We have created a solution that enables our clients to benefit from superb quality and price."

As an added bonus, until mid-March 2007 clients ordering over 350 garments will have the opportunity of James Kirtley coming to their school to offer up to 24 pupils a full coaching session with one of the sport's most prominent players. "I have always been committed to the development of young players and it's a real honour to be able to pass on some of the skills, both mental and physical, that I have learnt during my career," said Kirtley.

MKK Sports' interactive website enables schools and colleges to go on-line and create their own design for teamwear and cricket clothing in school colours, enabling them to get an outline view of how their final kit might look. MKK Sports has a full in-house design service which can turn around a complete kit design within 48 hours.
