MKK SPORTS LAUNCHES TEAM CLOTHING FOR CRICKET CLUBS
MKK Sports, the sports clothing manufacturer owned by Sussex and England cricketer James Kirtley and his business partners, have just launched a quality, competitive range of team clothing for cricket clubs.
The company believes it has spotted a niche in the market to offer a bespoke clothing solution which can incorporate both colour and design to match cricket club requirements, as well as offering some of the most cutting edge fabrics in the sporting arena today. "MKK Sports has been set up to offer cricket clubs a superb service that achieves exact colour matches, bespoke design and quality products that we can guarantee to deliver for years to come," said Kirtley. "We have a very strong understanding of the market place and the particular requirements of cricket clubs and have worked hard to ensure that we are best placed in the market to provide both the products and service that cricket clubs require."
The MKK Sports range initially encompasses key teamwear garments and technical cricket apparel and plans are underway to expand into other sports during early 2007. The fabrics used by MKK Sports have attracted particular attention as Kirtley feels passionately about the comfort of players during matches. "We took a great deal of time to choose the technologies and fabrics involved in our clothing ranges and no one knows better than me how much this can impact upon your performance. Our playing wear ensures maximum comfort by wicking moisture away from the skin and allowing the garment to breathe thereby making it perfect for the very real demands of the game," said Kirtley.
MKK Sports has just been announced as the Official Clothing Supplier to Sussex County Cricket Club for 2007-2008, an endorsement that was won in a competitive arena. "We were invited to present our clothing range for 2007 and although James plays for the club, I have to say that if our clothing wasn't considered by Sussex CCC as the best on the market, we would not have been awarded the contract. As winners of the double, these players have to play in the most comfortable, efficient and well designed kit possible and we are delighted the club chose MKK Sports," said company director, Roger Myall.
Director of Professional Cricket, Mark Robinson said of the decision, "MKK Sports had the fabrics, quality and design services that reflected our ambitions for our team kit in 2007-2008 and we were delighted to appoint the company on a two year contract."
MKK Sports is passionate about quality clothing at all levels within the sport and recently worked with Sussex Premier League champions Preston Nomads in creating their league winning 2006 range of clothing. Steve Gatting, Director of Cricket at the club explains:
"MKK were great, we gave them a design brief together with our club colours and relevant logo jpegs and within days we had a range of garment designs emailed to us for approval. The pricing structure was attractive as it included all of our embroidery and print needs and yet even with these costs included the garments were still cheaper than buying off-the-peg."
One of MKK Sports key advantages is their ability to embroider shirts at source with an inclusive price that includes up to three logos. "Often the price of embroidery can make the shirt prohibitive and we were very mindful of this when structuring our club package. We believe that we have created a solution that enables our clients to benefit from superb quality and price" said company director, Nick Keeley "and the other benefit of this service is that garments are ready to wear as soon as they arrive."
MKK Sports' interactive website allows cricket clubs to go on-line and create their own design in their specific club colours, enabling them to get an outline view of how their final kit might look. MKK Sports has a full in-house design service which can turn around a complete kit design within 48 hours.
